Hmmm not in order I get... Abba, Pet Shop Boys/Elvis/Willie Nelson, Patti Smith (?), Pink Floyd, Nilsson and a couple of others.. that are annoying me now... dammit...
And is the last one self-penned? (or did you just forget the " ")??
God I'm so crap at this blogging thing. Why didn't I realise that I could turn this into an interactive "How many can you spot?" game?
I just liked the exercise of pulling out the most striking (to me) lines from each song. But now I'm intrigued. Mike, what was the one you can't place?
Gordon, thanks for the punctuation heads-up. Now corrected.
I'll post a list of all artsts/songs in a couple of days in this comments box, but for now... how many can you spot?
Using Google would be cheating, of course.
This would work way better for me if my brain hadn't melted with the heat so I can't remember the titles/artists for the stuff I recognise :)
Antony & the Johnsons; Mountain Goats. Only two I can get off the top of my head... because I'm listening to both of those obsessively these days.
