Maximo Park's debut album has been a favourite of mine for a couple of weeks. On stage, however, they're rather uninspiring. Maybe that's unfair, it's more like inexperience.

They look awkward, uncomfortable. They have potential for greatness, but they need to let go, let it happen. I think they're too nervous, worrying about what people think of them.

Mind you, I think it was probably over thirty degrees when this was filmed earlier today. God, does that lead singer look hot (and we're talking sweat, rather than sexual charisma).

You're right - experience is valuable on the festival circuit. Just finished watching Beeb 2's coverage of The White Stripes and boy - are *they* more accomplished than previous years.

The MP album has some real gems on it. Lovely.
