KYPP keeps on coming up with the goods. I got into SPK with their subsequent album Leichenschrei, released 1982. Some of the most extreme music I've ever been into. I was 15 when I started listening to this... read into that what you will.

Another KYPP gem. I liked Throbbing Gristle and loved Coil with a passion, but was never really into PTV. Having said that, their Dreams Less Sweet album (from which these tracks are taken) is superb, especially The Orchids. Must dig out my copy.

"There was a great story in The Economist recently which said that, as recompense for some focus-group research, a major label offered a group of teenagers a selection of free CDs. The kids walked out without taking a single one. The game is up."

John Darnielle sings about the American elections. He loves politicians as much as I do: "... several post-born babies learned the hard way: Vampires only kiss you if they've sharpened up their fangs."
