Mystifyingly, this Terry Wogan compilation CD cropped up in my Amazon recommendations. Its cover artwork is compellingly awful and the tracklist, in part, reminds me of the days when Radio 2 was something listened to by my parents rather than by my friends.

I was about to click away, when I spotted that the single reviewer was referring to Terry as "the Welsh wizard"! I wondered whether it was some kind of ironic in-joke that I (thankfully) don't understand, but as the reviewer lists his/her location as "London, Surrey" I think we'll just assume that they aren't too hot at geography.

Some names hit the water with the satisfying thud of a brick being dropped into an ornamental pond. Others have the impact of a grain of sand kissing the surface of the Pacific...
