UK Newcastle-upon-Tyne - 19 February 2003
After we went to Gateshead, we got back into the car and drove across the River Tyne to Newcastle (we didn't really have a good feel for how short a walk this would have been at the time). We loved Newcastle for its architecture, its culture, its views (especially along the river) and its generally good-natured, buzzy atmosphere.
